PROMEK AS has a production area of 3,000 square meters. in addition to its own logistics center of approx. 1,600 square meters.
The production capacity makes it possible to build up to nine larger catamarans at the same time.
With its own plasma cutter all hull parts are prefabricated as a construction kit.
All PROMEKS boats are built in aluminium
In our eyes, aluminum is the best option for workboats, as it has low weight, high strength and toughness. This means that the boats can withstand tough handling, while the material is environmentally friendly in production, economical in operation and easy to recycle.
PROMEK has a long tradition of product development through finding solutions together with customers. We often find solutions that we include in continuous improvements to our standard products.
PROMEK is aware of what is involved in thinking new things, and we see that in order to be flexible to meet both existing and new customers, innovation work and design are an important part of our commitment going forward.
Requirements for a greener profile presuppose changes to a technology where PROMEK intends to work its way in as a prominent player.
Service and work boats
The boats can be delivered as a catamaran or monohull. The advantages of a catamaran are large deck space and very good stability. Single-hull boats have greater cargo load capacity below deck. The boats have been developed to cover one or more of the following needs for:

Catamarans
Service and work boats with very good stability and very large deck space. The boats are well tested and they are designed to cover necessary and important tasks based on the customer's specification.
Hull
The hull is built in aluminum like a catamaran and is dimensioned according to recognized regulations. Each hull is divided into watertight sections (typically engine room, center room and forepeak).
Overbuilding
The control rooms are adapted to each building in consultation with the customer and in accordance with current regulations. The wheelhouses are characterized by low indoor noise, good seating comfort and a clear wheelhouse. In addition, there is a bathroom with WC and wash basin with hot and cold water.
Deck arrangement
Cranes, winches and capstans are arranged in consultation with the customer towards optimal utilization of deck area for the customer's needs. Likewise, the arrangement of the wheelhouse, crew facilities and lighting is adapted to the individual customer's needs and wishes.
Single-hull
Safe service and work boats with good sea characteristics and load capacity below deck. The boats are designed to cover tasks where catamarans are not suitable.
Technology
With our own plasma cutter, all hull parts are prefabricated as a construction kit. In addition, the production hall has its own equipment for pipe bending, lathes, presses m.m.
Process
PROMEK's production process can be divided into four main stages before delivery to the customer. The engineers deal with class and working drawings, design and construction as well as calculations and GA drawings. This stage eventually includes slab cutting, which is overlapped into the construction stage.
Construction involves assembling the welding of the hull, welding and furnishing of the deckhouse and wheelhouse. Electrical installation overlaps the construction stage and the equipment stage.
The equipment stage involves the installation of requirement-specific and customer-specific equipment.
Testing is PROMEK's quality assurance, which involves functional testing, approval and documentation of the building before it is handed over to the customer.
Employees with a focus on PROJECTS
Our construction department has four employees who focus on all projects, and our combined experience means that we quickly find good and professionally approved solutions. With full control over the process right from the start of production to the finished product, we also have the opportunity to be flexible. Our specifically adapted constructions meet the customer's expectations - every time.
We at Promek are keen to pass on our knowledge, and at the same time ensure recruitment to the boat building industry. We are therefore involved in the schools' training program for apprentices, and have the municipality as a supporter and co-owner of the company.
